ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 in India, Sri Lanka & Bangladesh
The 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup will be the tenth Cricket World Cup, and will be hosted by three South Asian Test cricket playing countries; India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. It will take place during the months of February and March 2011, with the first match being played on 19 February 2011. 29 matches out of 49 will be played in India including one quarterfinal, semi-final and final, 12 matches in Sri Lanka including one quarterfinal and semifinal and eight matches in Bangladesh including two quarterfinals. ICC CRICKET WORLD CUP 2011 Quarter Finals
ICC World Cup 1st Quarter Final, Pakistan v West Indies (Match C) - Pakistan storm into semi-final
Mar 23, 2011 Pakistan annihilated West Indies by 10 wickets in the first knock-out match at Mirpur to secure a World Cup semi-final against India or Australia. Mohammad Hafeez, Shahid Afridi and Saeed Ajmal each took two wickets in an over as Pakistan bowled out West Indies for a paltry 112. Afridi claimed 4-30 to reach 21 wickets in the tournament as only Shivnarine Chanderpaul resisted with 44 not out. Pakistan reached the modest target with 175 balls left, man-of-the-match Hafeez (61) with 10 fours and opening partner Kamran Akmal firing seven fours in 47. Tomorrow is the big match as the two heavyweights of world cricket, India and Australia collide in the second Q/F at Ahmedabad.
